  • Notes
    • 1 Mary was the middle girl, and the next oldest to my dad. She was the
one who looked out for him when young, and they always remained
pretty close. Of all my cousins I think we were closest to he
family, and I was always given a warm
welcome at 22 Rodney Road, Walton-on-Thames, if I cycled across to
see them, even tho' with a large family, they were often hard up.

2 Mary had a quality of serenity that enabled her to sail through many
of life's problems, and she was often the peacemaker on the not
infrequent occasions when Dad fell out with one of his brothers!
